You are staying with strangers — and that is fine

Our checks and rules are built so that staying in someone else's home feels as safe as booking a hotel.

How we verify hosts

No profile goes live until the host has passed our checks:

  • Documents. Every host submits a passport or ID photo plus a selfie holding the document. We review them by hand.
  • Video call. We speak to every host personally over video — we see the person, their home, and ask questions.
  • Photos of the home. Hosts upload real photos of the room and the house. Profiles without photos are not published.
If a host asks you to move the conversation or the payment off the platform, tell us. We cannot help you in those cases.

Support during your trip

We are reachable before, during and after your stay:

  • Help choosing a host, picking dates and booking.
  • Getting hold of your host if they go quiet or something is unclear.
  • Urgent help on the ground if the accommodation does not match the listing.

Payment protection

You pay through the platform, not in cash on arrival. The money does not go straight to the host.

The host is paid only after you check in — once you have seen that everything matches the listing.

If the place does not match the profile when you arrive, message us the same day and we will refund you or find you another host.

The price on the profile is the final price. No hidden fees and nothing extra to pay on arrival.
